evilmp3.com is a place for you to upload mp3s of your musical projects. If you would like a username/password, leave a comment here or email me, philip[at]swordfight[dot]org.
This offer is open to anyone at all.
I have over 200 GB of storage space and 75 user accounts under my current hosting plan, and I’m using barely a fraction of it. So I want to share it. Let’s cram this space full of sound.
* User accounts are set to 3 GB, which should be plenty, but if you need more I can increase this limit.
* You will have a subdomain that comes up as http://username.evilmp3.com. So links to your songs will appear as http://username.evilmp3.com/yoursong.mp3. Or you could create folders within your account to keep your songs organized by album. It’s up to you, really.
* You can upload whatever you like… mp3s, pics, videos. Host a blog here if you want. You could easily sign up with Blogger and get set up http://yourband.evilmp3.com instead of http://yourband.blogspot.com.
* Only please don’t upload any content that you don’t have the rights to. I don’t want to piss anybody off or get into any kind of legal situation. Keep it indie, keep it real.
* If you want an email address as well, such as username@evilmp3.com, let me know and I can set that up for you in about 10 seconds. You can have it redirect to an already existing email account if you wish, or set up your email client with a POP account, or you can log in to our mail server on the web.
* You’ll have your own stats page as well where you can log in and see how many downloads your files have been getting. Your stats page will be at http://yourband.evilmp3.com/stats where you will be prompted for your password.
* Anytime a new band signs up, I’ll post here on the main page and add a link to your page on the sidebar.
* All I ask in return is that you mail me a CD. Strangely enough, I’m on dialup out in the woods and can’t easily download tons of music. So getting a disc in the mail would be rad. My address:
